Why Barbizon?
There are many different ways to get started in modeling and acting. So what makes Barbizon special? Our pathways are built to give aspiring models and actors the tools to be successful! We provide training on industry skills and techniques, insights on how the business works so you can be safe when pursuing opportunities, connections to local modeling and acting opportunities, and so much more.
What ages does Barbizon accept?
Age requirements vary based on location and pathway chosen. We work with most ages, but certain program offerings can be restricted by age group. To learn what’s available at your local Barbizon, please contact us directly.
How do I know which pathway is best for me?
There is no one-size-fits-all path in modeling or acting. The right option truly depends on where a student is right now and what their goals are for the future.
Some students join our training to build confidence, learn how to pose, walk, and present themselves with poise and presence. These are powerful life skills that benefit students in school, interviews, public speaking, and any career path, not just entertainment.
Others may prefer a more hands-on approach in a workshop setting to truly polish their skills. Even more so, some may be ready to pursue real industry opportunities on stage, and begin building a professional career in modeling, acting, or performance. We support all pathways and tailor guidance to meet each student’s individual goals.
Join a free Pathway Preview Session via Zoom and you can connect one-on-one with a developmental consultant. They’ll take the time to help select the best next step for you. It’s hard to navigate this industry when you’re brand new and we aren’t in the business of signing you up for something that won’t be beneficial. During your one-on-one, we will learn about your goals, your experience and where you want to go. Taking that into consideration, along with what’s booking and where you’re most marketable in the industry, that’ll help us come up with selections that are tailored to you.
Is Barbizon a scam?
No. Barbizon Modeling and Acting is not a scam. Founded in 1939, Barbizon is one of the oldest and largest development centers for aspiring talent. Our program offers a safe, positive environment for those interested in the modeling and acting industry to learn, build skills, network and access industry opportunities.
